The World Health Organization (WHO) has issued another alert regarding Pakistani cough syrup
WHO says that toxic concentrations were found in cough syrup made by a pharmaceutical company in Lahore, substandard syrup was found in several countries including Maldives, Fiji
Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) says that it has closed the syrup section of the concerned pharmaceutical company last month
It should be noted that last month too, the Maldivian government and WHO had issued an alert on the cough syrup made by the Lahore company
The hack syrup of the Lahore-based organization has been found to contain hurtful mixtures called diethylene glycol and ethylene glycol.
