A study published in the European Heart Journal studied the effects of different activities during the day on heart health
According to research, replacing sedentary behavior with a few minutes of moderate exercise daily can improve cardiovascular health. Even simple activities like standing or sleeping are better than lazy behaviors
Dr Jo Blodgett, a research fellow at University College London (UCL) and lead author of the study, said: "Being active is known to be good for heart health. This research provides a unique perspective on 24 hours and provides new understanding of daily behaviors
They say you can do the best for your heart by being decently dynamic, with light work, standing and resting being awesome, while being lethargic is just horrible
Researchers at UCL and the University of Sydney reviewed six studies involving more than 15,000 people from five countries. These individuals wore a device on their thigh that measured their activity throughout the day
